To use the Service, you will need to provide us with information such as the following: (1) pPersonally identifiable information, including but not limited to, your first and last name, email address, home address, date of birth and phone number; (2) information about your location, age and gender; and (3) medical information regarding your medical marijuana recommendation, including the name and license number of your recommending physician, the contact information of the physician, the method to verify the authenticity of the recommendation, the expiration date of the recommendation, and the recommendation verification number. We may collect this information through various forms on the Service, including if you register for an account, through “contact us” forms, or when you otherwise interact with the Service in any way.
Information Use, Sharing & Disclosure
We respect your privacy. Sava will not disclose your name, email address, or other personal information to third parties without your consent, except as specified in this policy. We generally use user information to provide and improve our services and products, for billing and payments, for identification and authentication, for targeted online and offline marketing, to contact members or interested parties, and for general research and aggregate reporting.
As part of the buying and selling process, Sava will facilitate the sharing of information between two members involved in the transaction, such as the other Sava member’s email address and payment information. By making a purchase on Sava you are directing us to share your information in this way. We expect you to respect the privacy of the member whose information you received. As described in Sava’s Terms of Service, you have a limited license to use that information for Sava-related communications or Sava-facilitated transactions. Sava has not granted you a license to use the information for unauthorized transactions.
Sava may also release your personal information to a third party in the following circumstances: to protect, establish, or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to comply with a subpoena, court order, legal process, or other legal requirement; or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss, or investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, threats to our property, or violations of Sava’s Terms of Service.
This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Sava does not own or control, or individuals that Sava does not employ or manage. If you provide your information to others, different practices may apply to the use or disclosure of the information you provide to them. Sava does not control the privacy policies of third parties, including other Sava users. Sava is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of Sava users or other websites on the Internet, even those linked to or from the Sava website. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others.
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the information you submit to us, such as contact information or doctor recommendation information provided as part of registration. The Service will disable a user’s account if the information provided is determined to be false or no longer current.
Choice & Control
We know that members of our community value having control over their own information, and therefore Sava gives you the choice of providing, editing or removing, certain information, as well as choice over how we contact you.
You may change or correct your Sava account information on the website. You may also remove certain optional information on the website that you no longer wish to be publicly visible, such as your full name.
For various reasons, Sava may send you messages about our Service or your activity. Some of these messages are required, service-related message for users (such as transactional messages). Other messages are not required (such as newsletters), and you can control which optional messages you choose to receive by changing your settings in your account.
Your Sava account information is protected by a password. It is important that you protect against unauthorized access to your account and information by choosing your password carefully, and keeping your password and computer secure, such as by signing out after using our Service.
Sava encrypts sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Sava follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once Sava receives it. Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Sava will retain your information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you services. If you no longer want Sava to use your information to provide you services, you may close your account. Sava will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You may inform us of any changes or requests regarding your personal data, and in accordance with our obligations under applicable data protection law, we may update or delete your personal data accordingly.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we believe the changes are material, we will let you know about doing one (or more) of the following: (1) posting the changes on our website, or (2) sending you an email or message about the changes. That way you can decide whether you want to continue using the Service. Changes will be effective upon the posting of the changes or upon sending you an email/message about the changes.
