How We're Protecting Our Community from Covid

Dear Sava Customers, 

As the pandemic continues to ebb and flow we'd like to remind you of our delivery protocols and options.

We are continuing to operate with increased safety measures because we see delivery service as an important facilitator of social distancing and believe that for many cannabis is essential.

 


What to Expect From Your Delivery

1. We appreciate if you wear a mask during your delivery.

In order to keep both our customers and  drivers safe, we'd like to gently encourage you to wear a mask during the drop off. Our drivers very much appreciate this effort.

2. Help us reduce contact. 

  • Drivers will deliver to an exterior door of a building. They will not go inside the building to reach your apartment door. 

  • To reduce close contact in the process, choose to pay electronically whenever possible instead of with cash or check. If you must use cash, we appreciate exact change. If you pay by check, please make it out to Sava.

3. If you are sick or have tested positive, request a contactless delivery.

At checkout there is an area for delivery notes. Please request a contactless delivery. You may also email info@getsava.com to alert us. 

How does a contactless delivery work? 

  • Drivers maintain six feet of distance from the customer.

  • Both driver and customer wear a mask.

  • The driver will set down a bin. Place your ID and payment (if using cash or check) into the bin and step back. Alternatively, you can show your ID through a window and pay electronically during checkout.

  • The driver will look at the ID and take the payment, set your box down, and step back. 

  • You may then pick up the box while the driver watches.


 

How We're Protecting Our Community

These are the measures we’re taking to protect the health and safety of our customers, our employees, and our community: 

  • At our facility we’ve cut back to only essential employees, asking others to work from home. We’re limiting who comes in and out of the warehouse space and people who are there are maintaining distance.

  • We have increased cleaning practices in our facilities, regularly wiping down commonly used surfaces, doorknobs, handrails, bathrooms, etc.

  • Drivers have been given gloves and alcohol-based sanitizer.

  • We have adjusted our delivery protocol to reduce contact, see more details above.

  • Anyone who is sick, or has been in contact with someone who is sick, has been asked to stay home.

  • We are following all guidelines provided by the CDC and SFDPH.

  • We are monitoring the situation for additional recommendations by local, state, and federal public health officials and will continue to unroll new precautions as needed. 

Products arrive at our warehouse in packed boxes after a period of testing and quarantine, as is required for all cannabis products in California as part of the regular manufacturing process. We are committed to protecting the cleanliness of products from that point until they reach your door. 

 


Special Exception for Vulnerable Customers 

If you belong to an at risk group, we can deliver the package to your designated caretaker or roommate/family member to help you minimize outside contact. Please request that we give the package to another person ahead of the delivery by noting so in the comment section on the checkout page or by emailing customer service with the name of the person who will receive the package at info@getsava.com.

 


At Sava, we are doing everything possible to keep delivery as a safe and available option so we can support those needing access to cannabis while providing stable income for our employees and drivers.
