How We're Protecting Our Community
Dear Sava Customers,
Things are very different right now than life-as-usual, and we want to assure you that we are here for you.
As long as it’s safe for everyone, we will continue to operate with increased safety measures because we see delivery service as an important facilitator of social distancing and believe that for many cannabis is essential.
These are the measures we’re taking to protect the health and safety of our customers, our employees, and our community:
At our facility we’ve cut back to only essential employees, asking others to work from home. We’re limiting who comes in and out of the warehouse space and people who are there are maintaining distance.

We have increased cleaning practices in our facilities, regularly wiping down commonly used surfaces, doorknobs, handrails, bathrooms, etc.
We've given drivers the option to pause working if they prefer to stay home.
Drivers deciding to continue working have been given gloves and alcohol-based sanitizer.
We have adjusted our delivery protocol to reduce contact, see more details below.
Anyone who is sick, or has been in contact with someone who is sick, has been asked to stay home.
We are following all guidelines provided by the CDC.
We are monitoring the situation for additional recommendations by local, state, and federal public health officials and will continue to unroll new precautions as needed.
Products arrive at our warehouse in packed boxes after a period of testing and quarantine, as is required for all cannabis products in California as part of the regular manufacturing process. We are committed to protecting the cleanliness of products from that point until they reach your door.
What to Expect From Your Delivery
Drivers will now deliver either curbside or to an exterior door of a building. They will not go inside the building to reach your apartment door.
If you want curbside, note that in your comment at checkout or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request it.
Otherwise, the driver will meet you at the exterior door of your building.
To reduce touchpoints in the process, choose to pay by ACH instead of cash or check.
This is how the delivery process will go:
Drivers will maintain six feet of distance from the customer. Therefore, we will deliver in the following way -
Customer places payment (if using cash or check) and ID down on the tray the driver has put down and steps back.
Alternately, you can show your ID through a window and pay electronically during checkout.
Driver places the box down, and steps back.
Customer picks up box while driver watches.
To minimize touch points, no signature is required.
We are asking that customers try to pay electronically at checkout to reduce interaction. If you must use cash, we appreciate exact change. If you pay by check, please make it out to Sava. Your order confirmation email contains instructions.
Special Exception for Vulnerable Customers
We will be able to deliver the package to your designated caretaker or roommate/family member to help you minimize outside contact. Please request we give the package to another person ahead of the delivery by noting so in the comment section on the checkout page or by emailing customer service with the name of the person who will receive the package, email@example.com.
At Sava, we are doing everything possible to keep delivery as a safe and available option so we can support those needing access to cannabis while providing stable income for our employees and drivers.
