Sorrel with MAAT Apothecary

Allow yourself to be transported to the tropics through the power of your taste buds by enjoying our version of an Island favorite. Sorrel is a well known Caribbean refreshment that is a standard at gatherings, on warm days, or “just because!" If your taste buds are delighted by the tart flavor of hibiscus flowers, you’ll be blown away by the added essence of ginger & cinnamon spice added to your drink courtesy of our Infused Spiced Honey.

Sorrel’s main ingredient, hibiscus, is filled with antioxidants, and has been traditionally used to support heart health, cholesterol, UTIs, and blood pressure balance. You may have heard of this low calorie drink by it’s other name variations such as Agua de Jamaica, Roselle, or Guinea Sorrel. Clove provides Sorrel with some of it’s spice and has been known to support metabolism by regulating appetite, aiding in pain relief (thanks to the compound eugenol), and remineralizing the body.
