DIY Hash Gummy Bear Edibles

Cannabis gummies are easy edibles to make at home. If you want to create your own hash gummies, this recipe for fruit-flavored gummy bear edibles is perfect for the beginner confectioner.

The following hash gummies recipe is adapted from The 420 Shack—and at 8mg per piece, you’ll want to start slow! Adjust the hash amount down if necessary.

What you will need:

Juicer
Knife
Saucepan
Rubber spatula
Silicone gummy bear mold (makes 63 gummies)
Baking sheet

Ingredients:

7 medium-sized apples
4oz baby spinach
3-4 tbsp lemon juice (adjust to taste, fresh-squeezed works best)
2 tsp unrefined blonde coconut sugar
0.5g dry-sieved hash (500g THC)
2 tsp apple extract
100g (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp) unflavored gelatin

Dosage:

Makes 63 gummies at 8mg THC per piece, for a total of 500mg THC.

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°F. When ready, spread your hash onto a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes. This step will decarbolyze and dry the THC. Be careful not to burn your hash.
Wash and cut the apple slices into small chunks.
Rinse, dry and cut the spinach.
Juice the apples and spinach, alternating, until you have about 3 ¾ cups of juice. Into a medium-sized saucepan, strain juice through a sieve, removing the pulp.
To the apple and spinach juice, add the lemon juice, unrefined coconut sugar, hash, and apple extract. Place saucepan over medium heat, and stir with a rubber spatula to combine thoroughly.
Sprinkle gelatin on top, stir lightly for a few seconds, then wait for about five minutes.
Over medium heat, slowly dissolve the gelatin in the saucepan. Do not bring it to a boil. If there are any big balls of gelatin, use the spatula to split them apart.
Stir quickly and consistently as bubbles appear in the mixture. When there are a lot of bubbles, keep the saucepan over medium heat for about 30 more seconds, then remove from heat.
Pour the liquid mixture into silicone gummy molds.
Let your molds cool for an hour then refrigerate them until they are fully firm (this normally takes 12 to 24 hours).
