Edibles are food items that have been infused with cannabis, cannabis concentrates, or cannabinoids. Potencies range greatly and edibles impact the body differently than smoking or vaping. Additionally, the unique metabolism and biological makeup of patients mean that edibles can have varying effect.

Start Low

Begin with either a low-dose product or a small single serving.

Go Slow

Wait to see how you feel. Edibles can take 1-2 hours to take full effect.

Avoid Combining

Do not take any other controlled substances, including alcohol.

Safety First

Find a secure way to store your edibles.  Make sure this is unaccessible to kids, pets or anyone under 21.

Nourish Yourself

Edibles are more intense when consumed on an empty stomach. Eat a nutritious meal before taking your THC dose.

CBD to the Rescue

CBD reduces the psychoactive side effects of THC.  Keep a high CBD tincture handy to help with balance if needed.

New Patient

1-5 mg is where a new patient should begin. Starting at this low dose will reveal whether ingesting cannabis can be a comfortable experience for you.

Occasional Patient

5-10 mg is generally considered to be one serving.  Consuming more is not recommended.

Frequent Patient

10-15 mg, or higher, is a dose that is specifically for those with a strong medical need or tolerance.
