A Guide to Vaping
Vaping is the act of inhaling and exhaling the water vapor produced by an electric device called a vaporizer. Essentially, your vaporizer heats cannabis (or cannabis oil) without burning it, releasing the active ingredients into a vapor that you inhale. It is a smokeless way to ingest cannabis.
To use most vaporizers, you need a battery + a cartridge. Make sure your battery is charged, and attach it to the cartridge. The exception on SAVA is the hmbldt brand of pens – they are one unit and do not need to be charged.
If your vaporizer has an on button (many on SAVA do not), make sure it is turned on. Vaporizers without an on button will activate when you inhale through the vaporizer. You should see an LED light turn on as you inhale.
This piece contains the cannabis oil. If there is a plastic cap on the end, remove it and attach it to the battery.
This portion powers the vaporizer. Make sure it is charged prior to use.
When you buy a battery, it comes with a charger, usually USB. Charger styles may vary.
Note: hmbldt brand pens come assembled and fully charged for their lifetime of use.
Start with a small dose of one, 2-3 second inhale. Seal your lips around the tip of the vaporizer and breathe in while pulling vapor gently out of the unit. Breathe it all the way in, and then exhale. If this makes you cough, you can experiment with different lengths and depths of inhale.
Give it Time
After your first inhale, wait 10-15 minutes to see how you feel before taking another. Vaping has a fairly quick onset, but different products or strains can take varying time for full onset.
Find the Right Dose for You
It may take some time and experimenting, but finding the right amount that works for you is very helpful in having a beneficial experience. Just remember, start slow and work your way up as needed.
Note: not all vaporizer cartridges are the same potency. Read the descriptions on the product page to learn how a specific brand, formula, or strain may affect you.
